Over and Over Again

Of all the blessings that have come into our lives Jodi, Liam's physical therapist, is one of the greatest! Normally scheduled to come for therapy on Friday mornings, this week she came on Tuesday night because she has to travel with the wheelchair basketball team she coaches to Berkeley for a tournament this weekend.

When Liam was first diagnosed they told us that children with Angelmans don't usually walk and that if they do it's with a supportive device such as a walker. For whatever reason last night when Jodi came we had the right combination of something because over and over again (we lost count) Liam would take off and go on his own. Amazing! Doug's phone was almost dead so we quickly grabbed mine and, obviously from the totally awful attempt you are about to see, were able to capture one of Liam's journeys across the living room from Jodi to me. Ecstatic doesn't even begin to describe the feeling we all felt as Justin, Doug and I all witnessed the miracle so many have been praying for! We have a long way to go, but this little angel is surely up to the challenge! I hope this video works!
